In addition to her performing career, Ms. Matlack served as both administrator and full-time instructor for Texas Ballet Theater School before leading Credo Dance Academy as Director for eight years. After relocating to Virginia in 2016, she joined the adjunct faculty of Old Dominion University, The Governor's School for the Arts, and Todd Rosenlieb Dance Company/Virginia Ballet Theatre. She is currently based in Grand Rapids.
Ms. Matlack's training includes competing at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2004 and continuing her studies at The Ailey School in 2005. She has also trained extensively with master teacher and choreographer Steve Rooks, former Principal Dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company.
We are honored to have her join us this June and look forward to the inspiration, artistry, and excellence she will bring to the studio.
